ANSWERS TO CCA FAQ

FAQ

STARTING TIMES: Networking takes place in the main Galleria concourse on the first floor and the adjacent Occasions space from 5-6 p.m. The Galleria food court, where the awards ceremony will occur, will not be accessible until closer to 6 p.m. As the 6 p.m. awards ceremony approaches, attendees can begin to take their seats in what is normally the food court. The awards ceremony lasts between 6-7:30 p.m. Dinner and continued networking will commence immediately following the awards ceremony. The event ends at 9 p.m., although attendees are encouraged to patronize Sausalito’s upstairs beyond that time.

SEATING: There are three different sections of seating.  VIP tables will be located within the primary circle of the ground-floor food court. Signage will identify each VIP table sponsor. Finalists who are not sitting at VIP tables will be seated in a designated section just outside the primary circle. General admission seating will be on the second floor, which overlooks the food court. We will try to seat non-VIP table finalists with each of their guests, although space may be limited in the finalist section. We are expecting a sellout of 600 attendees.

GALLERIA ENTRY: CCA considers Galleria’s East 12th Street entrance (on the east side of the building) as the event’s nerve center. That is where you will pick up your nametags and where most of the networking will occur. The East 9th Street entrance (on the west side of the building) and the St. Clair Avenue entrance (on the south side of the building) will be open, although attendees will have to walk Galleria’s main concourse to pick up their nametags.

GALLERIA ADDRESS: For those of you relying on GPS, the Galleria at Erieview is located at 1301 East Ninth Street, Cleveland, Ohio 44114.

VALET PARKING: The East 12th Street entrance will also boast valet parking for $5. Self-parking is available for $3 (after 5 p.m.) in the Galleria garage, which is accessible from Lakeside Avenue (on the north side of the building). http://www.galleriaaterieview.com/parkinggarage.html

FOOD/DRINK: Hors d’oeuvres will be passed; they will be vegetarian and gluten-free options but no vegan option. Dinner will be served via food stations. Vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options will be available, although only the salad is both gluten free and vegan. Desserts are all vegetarian; there is some gluten free but nothing vegan. We are inquiring as to the availability of fruit upon request. Each attendee will receive two free drink tickets.

DOOR TICKET SALES: A limited number of tickets will be available to purchase on site. Tickets are $35 for paid subscribers of CBC magazine and $45 for everyone else. Cash, check or credit card will be accepted.

ATTIRE: There is no stated dress code, although we do like to think of CCA as our own version of The Oscars.  In fact, the Ohio Center for Broadcasting will be conducting “red carpet” interviews before the ceremony.

VICTORY SPEECHES: The 25 winners are invited to say a few words upon taking the stage, although a speech is by no means required. Time will be a concern — we’re fitting 25 categories into 90 minutes — so please be brief in your comments.
