In past years we’ve seen emerald green (2013), true red (2002), and radiant orchid (2014), and just last year we enjoyed marsala. When I wear the new color of the year it’s not to be a follower, but it’s just a fun, modern way to stay relevant in style, incorporating the new colors in my own way, either with just a touch or in a bolder way.
Full disclosure – I don’t usually wear pale pinks and blues. I just don’t reach for pastels of any color. But as an image consultant, it isn’t about me — it’s always about you! So with that mindset, I would like to give you tips and ideas on how to incorporate rose quartz and serenity.
“Rose quartz communicates compassion and a sense of composure. Like a serene sunset, flushed cheek or budding flower, rose quartz reminds us to reflect on our surroundings during the busy but lighthearted spring and summer months.” … “Serenity (is) weightless and airy, like the expanse of the blue sky about us. Serenity comforts with a calming effect, bringing a feeling of respite even in turbulent times.” — Leatrice Eisman, Executive Director, Pantone Color Institute
