Corporate Gift/Awards Company of the Year — Baskets Galore

Baskets Galore adhered to four themes in 2015 — engagement, experience, inclusion, and Cleveland pride. Many corporations called upon the Brunswick-based company to heighten their employee/client experiences and improve their bottom lines. “We were no longer considered as an afterthought, but an integral part of corporate goals and strategies,” CEO Deborah Wasylko said. As part of Baskets Galore’s commitment to offer fresh and new ideas to corporations, it focused on highlighting local products (snacks and food) from the Greater Cleveland area and giving back to the community. “Cleveland is the place to be, according to several clients who opted for Cleveland-themed gift designs for their corporate campaigns and events,” Wasylko said. In the area of talent acquisition, PolyOne used Baskets Galore gifts to welcome more than 165 college recruits to Cleveland over a six-week period at three hotels. “This past year we doubled the number of interview candidates that visited our PolyOne headquarters in Avon Lake, and Baskets Galore provided the perfect personal touch,” PolyOne’s Sandy Habeck said. “We continue to hear that our final round interview events exceed many other company experiences. To have our candidates return to their hotel after traveling all day and preparing for a long day of interviews, to receive a Cleveland-themed gift basket along with a personal note card gives them that added touch point.”

On the donor front, IRG Realty Advisors commissioned Baskets Galore to design more than 200 gifts to thank donors who had participated in their FORE! charity golf outing to raise money for the Hope Lodge in Cleveland. Baskets Galore proposed an Italian dinner basket to feed a family using all Cleveland products, old-world packaging, and subtle branding of IRG. The gift needed to be heat-resistant because, after registration, golfers would leave their gifts in their cars (in late August) in order to golf. To address this challenge, Baskets Galore researched and found local homemade dry pasta that did not need to be refrigerated. Philips Healthcare commissioned Baskets Galore to design 115 recognition gifts to give to employees at their annual recognition luncheon. Cleveland Clinic Foundation (CCF) commissioned the company to package more than 350 take-aways for their Patient Experience Summit, 12 “healthy” speaker gifts, and 25 employee recognition gifts. “Baskets Galore has been a tremendous business partner,” Mandy Barney, a project manager at the Cleveland Clinic, said. “They met our requirements perfectly for employee recognition gifts, speaker gifts, and conference handout packages. Their ability to reflect our brand ‘to a tee’ is extraordinary.”
