Walthall CPAs tax supervisor Teresa M. Wisniewski completed the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants Not-for-Profit certificate program.
Wisniewski heads Walthall’s nonprofit group, working with various charitable and tax-exempt clients, such as churches, public/private foundations, religious, volunteer, and civic organizations, labor unions, social services, educational institutions, and more. Concentrating in taxation, she focuses most of her efforts in helping nonprofits and corporations as well as estate and trusts. She is a graduate of Youngstown State University and a resident of Independence.
“We are very proud of Teresa,” Managing Partner Rick Lash said. “As an integral part of our nonprofit team, this is a testament to her — and the firm’s — dedication to the nonprofit arena. We strive to provide the best possible services to our nonprofit clients.”
The Not-for-Profit Certificate I was first offered in 2015 and provides a comprehensive, foundational overview of a nonprofit’s unique financial needs. The program consists of approximately 40 hours of online learning related to nonprofit governance, as well as organizational risk, audit, accounting, financial reporting, and tax topics.
